The Swedish word 'Lagom' means: Not too little, not too much. Just right!
That is the perfect description of this brand new guesthouse in Jämtland, Sweden. It is a fantastic place to relax and has all the luxury you need. You really have a place for yourself with full privacy.

No matter what time of the year you visit us...every season has its beauty!
The summer days can be sunny and sometimes very warm. You might see a moose or maybe a bear. Most exciting is the period from half May untill half July when it stays light all night. Birds keep singing all day and all night long. You have to experience this once in your life. The well known and famous Midsummer is on June 20th. This is the longest day.
But also autumn is a beautiful season when all the trees changing in so many different colors green, yellow, brown and red. It looks different every day. You might see a fox or a deer. It is a great season to make the most beautiful pictures..
And then we have the magical winter with the possibility to see the Northern Light. The world has changed in a winter wonderland with the most beautiful snowy trees. It can be very cold, but the air is more dry here, so it feels less worse than you think. And if you are cold you can warm yourself up with a nice cup of hot chocolate that you might drink by a campfire.

OUR ROOMS
The guesthouse is suitable for 1 to 6 /7 persons.
It has a master bedroom named the Forest Room, which has a King size bed.
From that room you have access to a cozy area named the Loft. This room gives place for up to 2 adults or maximum 3 kids.
In the living room the sofa can be transformed to a bed that gives place for 1 to 2 guests.
OUR SERVICES
Breakfast
It is possible to book, against extra charge, breakfast at Lodge Lagom. You can choose for a breakfast starter-kit to make breakfast yourself or choose the luxury breakfast basket deluxe which will be delivered at a time of your choice.
No Pets Allowed

In Lodge Lagom pets are unfortunately not allowed.
We can help you with finding an accommodation nearby that does allow pets.
Linen
If you want the real holiday feeling, then you can make it easy for yourself by hiring a linen package. Per person you will get a complete set of towels and the beds will be made with quality bed linen. Included is a bath mat and a package of kitchen linen. You can also rent an extra bathrobe.
No Smoking

Smoking is not allowed in the entire guesthouse.
Early or later
Check-in / Check-out option
​
Sometimes it is better in terms of planning if you can arrive earlier or check-out later, for example in combination with your flight. Lodge Lagom offers you the possibility to check-in/-out earlier or later for a small extra charge.
No Wheelchair Access
​
Due to the various level differences this location is unfortunately not suitable for wheelchairs.
We can help you with finding an accommodation nearby that is suitable.
Garden / Terrace
Around the guesthouse there is beautiful nature of which you can enjoy all year long. In the garden are massive rocks You can sit and relax on the terrace. There is also a double lounge bed to lay in the sun with a beautiful view. And when it is not too dry you can make a campfire.
Free Parking
You have your own free parking space in front of the door.

Leisure Activities - Winter

This season makes it look like winterwonderland. The scenery is magical and maybe you are lucky to see the Northern Aurora light.
The ski slope Kullstabacken is 15 minutes away (see video below). There is also a 1 km Rodel Snowrace parcours. All equipment can be rented, also for cross country skiing and if you need ski lessons ask for the possibilities.
More winter activities are a (guided) snowshoeing hike, a snow scooter tour, ice fishing or make an unforgettable dog sledging trip. Feel free to ask about the possibilities.
Leisure Activities - Summer
​
In summer you can enjoy nature on several ways, because of the 'Allemansrätten'. This means you have public access to land, lakes and rivers to recreate, under the condition that you respect nature. You can go hiking, cycling or go fishing, but you can also book activities like bear spotting, mountain biking, guided hiking trips, a moose safari, canoeing, horse riding, rafting, paragliding and more. And in the village is a free entrance swimming pool near Hammarstrands camping.
Golf
​
There are 9 golf courses in the province of Jämtland. The closest golf course is Solleftea GK (18 holes). The most popular golf course is Norderöns GK (18 holes) and Storsjöbygdens GK (27 holes) is known as the best golf course in Jämtland. At several clubs there are regularly offers to play for half the price. Please ask for more info.
Shops and restaurants
​
In the center of Hammarstrand you find among other things 2 supermarkets (Coop and ICA), a pharmacy, a liquor store, a shoe store, a florist, a hardware store, a pizzeria and a few restaurants and other places were you can eat. In case of emergency there is a medical center.
Döda Fallet
​
​
This is Sweden's biggest natural disaster. It was once a magnificent waterfall, called Storforsen and was admired for its beauty, but the work of one man and nature together created the heritage. It is now a nature reserve. You will find the whole story and the history described at the location. It is a great place to visit with nice views and there is a long wooden path so it is easily passable and free of entrance.
Thai Pavilion
​
The white and gold Royal Thai Pavilion was a gift of friendship in memorial of King Chulalongkorn. It is the only one of its kind outside Thailand. It was built 100 years after he visited Sweden in 1897 on invitation of King Oscar II. The Thai King then took the opportunity to visit Jämtland. The pavilion is open from 27/8 untill 6/9 and there free entrance. In the summer months you can eat at the Thai restaurant nearby the pavilion.
